"Loved the breakfast buffet on a weekend morning, Great value. Service was fantastic - it was our first time and we were not quite sure what to expect, we may have looked a little lost - but staff were extremely helpful and let us know it was self-serve except for the breads and asked us if we wanted more dosa, roti etc. All delicious and fairly spicy which we loved. Great masala chai as well."
"I had a really great experience at Amma’s Kitchen! I ordered the biryani (about £10) and my friend had the masala dosa (around £9). The portions were really generous so much so that I even took some biryani home and had plenty left for dinner. It’s definitely good value for money compared to many other places that charge more but serve less. The food itself was excellent. The biryani had just the right amount of spice, comforting and authentic, not toned down in the way some restaurants tend to make it. It honestly felt like proper homestyle cooking, the kind you’d expect from a Tamil kitchen. My friend really enjoyed her masala dosa too. Overall, Amma’s Kitchen serves delicious, authentic food with generous portions at a fair price. If you’re craving South Indian flavors, this is a spot worth visiting!"
"We had a wonderful experience here! The Chicken Biryani and Special Thaali were both delicious — full of authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent, and Madhavi made our visit even better with her warm and friendly approach. Highly recommend this place for great food and hospitality!"
"Having looked around for somewhere different to eat on a recent trip to Nottingham, I came across Amma kitchen and I'm really pleased I did. The food was absolutely delicious. It was so fresh and tasted incredible. I had a delicious vegetable biryani which was beautiful, it was a really big portion size too! Front of house were very helpful as we navigated our way through the menu. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area, for authentic southern Indian and Sri Lankan food I doubt you'll find better!"
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent food and great atmosphere! Amma Kitchen in Nottingham is a fantastic place for authentic South Indian cuisine. The food is full of flavour, perfectly spiced, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The dosas were crispy, the curries were rich and comforting, and everything tasted homemade and authentic. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and happy to explain the menu. Service was good, and the restaurant has a warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable. If you’re looking for genuine South Indian food in Nottingham, Amma Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!"
"The food at Amma Kitchen was delicious. I had kadhai mutton with Malabar parotta, asked for it spicy and they delivered perfectly with the flavour spot on. I also tried the mutton biryani which tasted good, though the mutton pieces were a bit dry and hard, and it came with a sweet on the side which was a nice touch. The highlight of the meal was the Aatu Kudal Milagu Varuval which I was hesitant to try since it is rare to find in the UK, but it turned out to be absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The only downside was that the portion size for the curry and kudal was small for the price, while the biryani portion was generous. Overall, the experience was amazing and I would definitely visit again."
"I’ve visited this restaurant a couple of times with my partner, and we were really happy with the service. One of the staff Aishwarya who worked during the Sunday buffet was incredibly friendly and supportive. The ambience is great, and the chicken kizhi porotta is my personal favourite."
"Delicious! Pictured is a four person set meal. The portion of rice was really large but definitely not in ratio with the side dishes It was empty when we were there so service was good."
